This started life as a pencil sketch of a girl holding a cockerel. I decided to see what it looked like painted digitally. As usual it took on a life of it's own. My ideas far exceeded my ability to carry them through, The peacock took forever, not being able to find just the right references (it still has chicken legs) The girl and the peacock are painted in painter 9 the background is Mucha (sorry Mucha) the girls headdress I used a design from here [link] I think I might do variations on this theme.

I thought of using a peacock myself in one of my future artworks, but I think that it never will look that good as yours. Incredible work! Especially because this is done with Corel Painter 9. I tried it myself and it's difficult. Keep up the good work. Hugs and take care!
Thank you Darrell, As usual you are so generous with praise:blowkiss:
Thank you Danielle, You are so kind. :blowkiss:I think one of your your stock pics will be perfect for something I have in mind, may take a while so don't hold your breath.
Thank you Rowan :blowkiss: I agree with your sentiments, I can just imagine the scenario of trying to put my Border Collie in a bag.........
You not just saying that cos I'm your mommy are you? It's amazing what you can do when you are left on your own for two weeks. After the first five years the dust doesn't get any thicker you know! :blowkiss:
Thank you John,:blowkiss: praise indeed from a starving artist shut in an attic (with the light behind him of course)
