This is an amazign piece of artwork!! The realism is uncanny, it is hard to believe that it isn't just an old photo! The level of detail you incorporated into this pice is beyond amazing and you really deserve so many more comments than what you have!

Unbelievable! How do you get so much detail in there with pastels? I really should try pastels too, this looks great. Dont give up your traditional medium, allthough your digital work is amazing too, still cant figure out how people do that.

Thank you Linda for your kind words, And I'm truly honoured after looking at your gallery. I do a lot of commisions, you must know the type. Dead dogs & cats etc, truly awful photographic references. 'Mothers pride' was done for an exhibition, and I sold it. I wish I hadn't, but It lives on in DA. You may have unwittingly encouraged me to submit more animals. :thanks:

I can relate to the horrible photo's sent in for commisions! So hard sometimes. I'm always surprised that the commisioners get all enthusiastic when they see the result...but that is a great moment. Especially with the deceased animal commisions!
I've sold or just gave away drawings too, without any copy for myself! At least you have it on DA, but I can understand how you feel. Please submit more animals! :)

I will but I'm so slow at everything, and the queen of disorganisation :slow:
